Vicky Juma

Vicky Juma’s soulful voice can transport you to a barstool in a smoky barroom or to the gates of Heaven – all in a matter of minutes. Born in Seattle, Washington, Vicky began honing her vocal abilities at the age of ten. Some of her earliest memories are of making family harmonies with her parents and three siblings as they toured throughout the Northwest as The Juma’s.. Music has always surrounded her life and runs like blood through her veins. There was no other path for her to take other than the musical journey she has undertaken.

Vicky moved to Nashville and captured the spotlight. She performed at many of Nashville’s premier nightspots including The Stockyards and Printer’s Alley. Building a reputation as a vibrant and energetic entertainer enabled Vicky to begin traveling the world performing her brand of music. She has pleased audiences in Canada, France, Belgium, Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Korea, in addition to the many venues throughout the United States. Vicky states, “I will do this until I die because I love what I do.”

Television has showcased Vicky’s talents as well. She has performed on Hee Haw, The Ralph Emery Show, ABC’s Nightline, The Jerry Reed Special and Talk of the Town. Not even the camera can hide the sparkle in her eyes and the smile on her face that reflects the love and sincerity of her inner soul.

Her songwriting abilities also shine bright as evidenced by her hit song, “Midnight Train of Memories,” recorded by Joe Sun. She writes with some of Nashville’s best including Dennis Knutson. “I want to share with people what I love and feel. I am able to do that through my writing and performing,” comments Vicky.

Continuing the family tradition, Vicky is writing, recording and performing. With vocals as distinctive as a fine wine, Vicky Juma can take you places you never thought you’d go. Hang on for the ride - from traditional country to rock ‘n roll – Vicky Juma can do it all!
