Fueled with passion and led by conviction and fever singer songwriter David Woje has a love for music and the itches music can scratch; allowing itself to go where nothing or no one else has been allowed to go. He has been writing, creating, producing, and performing in the United States and Australia since 2003. In 2008, he toured around Australia raising awareness of social issues, and rubbing shoulders with other musicians with the same passion for music and life. In the beginning of 2009, the project, dubbed “Woje”, was formed.

Travels have been fueled by bringing hope and life through music, bringing them to the South Pacific Islands, South East Asia, up the East coast of Australia and to the Outback.

Performing as solo, duo, trio, or 4 piece, the band has shared the stage with artists such as Steve Grace, Holland (Fatis Valour), Two Steps From Home, The Short List, The Medics, Five Star Streets, Wonderland, Saving Sparrow, Red Ruth, Dave Saxby and more.

In 2010, Woje won the award for “Best Band To Use Non Musical Items To Make Music”
touring with the YWAM Australian and Papua New Guinea Ship Tour. From Ballina to Cairns Woje raised awareness about the needs in PNG and called listeners to make a difference by inspiring them to get involved with the projects set forth by Youth With A Mission Australia.
In 2011, the band set out on a follow up tour up the coast, finding themselves at Easterfesst, Marti Grass, and dotting themselves along the coast in various pubs, cafes, and outside on the streets in the rain to freely share their music with others. 2012 brought another tour in Australia, this time raising awareness of the modern day slave trade along with proving inspiration and hope to combat the global issue.

Woje is currently working in the studio on his next project for summer 2013.

People who enjoy Woje also have been known to listen to: Johnny Cash, John Butler, Tom Waits, Ben Harper, Iron & Wine, Xavier Rudd, The Avett Brothers, Mumford and Sons and many others, seemingly to marry all of them together.

Woje fervently uses their music to share hope and life, as well as providing opportunity and hope to the listener to then share their hope and life to those who need it.
