Woody Carter

Woody Carter is a Native American of Potawatomi and Creek descent. He is enrolled with the Citizen Potawatomi Nation of Shawnee Oklahoma. Woody is the grandson of famed Potawatomi artist, dancer, singer, and flute maker/player Woody Crumbo, who inspired Woody to take up the instrument. A player of many different instruments, Woody's multiple talents shine through on his fist release, "NMeshomes" which means my Grandfather in the Potawatomi language. Each of the instruments on the CD are played by Woody, and they include: 5 and 6 hole North American native flutes, 6 string guitar, mandolin, siku, hand drum, keyboard, Celtic whistles, and bells and shakers.
Woody follows the Jesus way, and enjoys being involved in his church along with Joan, his wife of 31 years and their 3 penojek (kids) Woody jr, Michelle, and Kaylee. His day (and many times, night) job is flying the A320 as a Captain for a major U.S. airline. The next music project is underway, and will be called "Jigwek" - Thunders.
