ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
bini cocotte is a Jazz vocal and guitar duo from Japan and this is their first album. Jazz standards, Traditionals, Originals, they are playing whatever they love to play with the simple sounds cleated by voice and guitar. The color of voice changes sometimes like a child but sometimes wild and menacing, and the guitar sound snuggles up tenderly to her voice with his solid technique.
About bini cocotte:
They met at one of Jazz Bands when they were in Boston as students. Keep playing together after coming back to Tokyo, Japan and on January 14th 2014, formed a unit called "bini cocotte." Their first album, "Apple and Cinnamon," came out on May 28th 2014 in Japan and started to play in earnest such as; to perform and work on a public high-resolution recording in the 58th AV seminar at Pioneer Ginza Plaza, do performing in-store at TSUTAYA ROPPONGI TOKYO, join to Sapporo Jazz Festival and Kyoto Jazz Festival, and so on. Now their first album finally came out worldwide from CD Baby!
Why bini cocotte:
"bini" means "two together," "pair" and "duo" in the Latin word. "cocotte" is from the name of the vocalist, Coco, and a French cooking pan, cocotte. Sometimes musicians say about good playing like "good cooking," so put their heart that would like you to enjoy their cooking(playing.)
