ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Deane Nesbitt Jr. is a Canadian musician, composer and recording artist. His instrumental music ranges from grand and soaring to calming and memorable. Each song tells a story, taking the listener on a voyage to a different time and place, such as the delta of Okavango or the gone-too-soon loveliness of a Canadian summer.

Played on more than 300 radio stations across America, Deane’s music has gained an international following, especially since the release of his 2014 album, Music in Search of a Movie. Three tracks, Once and Forever, Time and the River and Okavango made successful debuts in the U.S. radio market. The album ranked on 5 CMJ charts, reaching the top 3 positions, including #1 in River Grove, Illinois.

Deane is honored to be working on a short film featuring the celebrated primatologist, Dr. Jane Goodall. His compositions Anthem for the Unsung Hero (At Sunset) and Okavango provide the soundtrack for this film, which will be released in 2016.

In Angels of the Ice, Deane and arranger, Brian Gagnon, are on keyboards, and the composition features guitarist Cesco Emmanuel and vocalist Daphne Nesbitt. The combination of these talents results in an extremely evocative recording.

"(Nesbitt’s music) wouldn’t sound out of place punctuating the dramatic mo- ments of some epic narrative."
Gabino Travassos, Mote Magazine

"It’s not hard to imagine music like this in film."
