Akem Manah

Akem Manah is a death doom metal band from Oregon that formed in Seattle, WA in 2009 by Dead Nedry (vocals, guitar & keyboards). The band has had a few line-up changes with Nedry being the only constant. The bands first 2 albums "The Devil Is In All Of You" (2010) & "Night Of The Black Moon" (2012) were performed by the bands early line-up of Nedry, Robert Ingraham (bass) & Brian Murray (drums). They helped get the band noticed with a more doom metal sound. Many reviews, appearances on small digital compilations and small print music magazines took notice, especially "Night Of the Black Moon".

Since 2012 Dead Nedry has been the sole member of Akem Manah, but has been recording with Ivan de Prume (ex-White Zombie) on drums. The band released its 3rd album "Demons Of the Sabbat" in 2014. Aside from Nedry & de Prume, the album also featured Chris Lollis (ex-Nile) on bass, Scott Von Heldt (ex-Brian Head Welch) performing lead guitar on 2 songs and Adam Richardson (Ramesses / 11 Paranoias) doing vocals on a song. With this release, the band dove more into the death metal side of things. Music from this album was featured on compilation disc from UK magazines Terrorizer & Zero Tolerance (in November 2014 & January 2015 respectively).

Heading into 2016, Akem Manah has many plans, including a handful of singles, a new ep, possible covers ep... but before the end of 2015, a new ep will be released comprised of material written during the "Demons" album session, with the fan favorite "The Twisted Rites Of Satans Bride" from the last album opening the new aptly titled "The Twisted Rites EP"...
