Cheryl Hill

One World (R)evolution is the rebirth of the Artist formerly known as Cheryl Hill - The Green Vegan Rawker. Hill, now Astrum Lux Lucis, changed the name of her solo act from Cheryl Hill to the band name of One World (R)evolution, and her birth name of Cheryl Hill to Astrum Lux Lucis, after having a profound Soul Analysis reading with Spiritual Alchemist & Yogini, Chavah Aima in late June of 2009.

Lux Lucis, who is now writing songs for her 7th album, entitled “Phoenix Rising”, (the debut album for her band One World (R)evolution) is teaming up with producer Brett Hestla (Dark new Day & Creed) for this project. They plan to begin recording in mid-October at Hestla’s Orlando, Florida studio.

Fans of “Cheryl Hill” can expect the same honest music that is the signature of this straight up rocker’s tunes. The difference being, One World (R)evolution is influenced more by today’s Modern Rock sound, bands like producer Brett Hestla’s band Dark new Day, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Hoobastank, and 3 Doors Down, just to name a few. The lyrical content is also more “consciousness” based, higher consciousness that is. There’s Christian Rock, there’s New Age Music, and now there is “Conscious Rock”, a term Lux Lucis coined to describe her new lyrical direction.

“My lyrics have always had a theme of self-empowerment to them, the difference now is that I am writing with the knowledge I’ve learned from studying the technologies of Mastery Systems – Conscious Language, it’s sort of like neurolinguistic programming. We’re in a renaissance period, a period of awakening and enlightenment, a spiritual (r)evolution, and none of the heavy music out there these days conveys a non-religious based positive approach to living life.

I’m really excited about this album. Everything surrounding it is an unfolding of the Divine and it’s really amazing to be fully present in that synergistic Energy. Every time I pick up my guitar, another song just simply flows out of me from the ethers. So far I’m writing all the songs in drop D, it’s just so heavy, yet melodic, and it seems to be a really good tuning for my voice as well. It’s like The Beatles gone heavy metal or something.” says Lux Lucis of her band’s new songs.

In the true spirit of the legend of the Phoenix, this rebirth promises to be the best of many albums to come in the new genre of “Conscious Rock”. The ashes are smoldering in the fire and the new (r)evolution is upon us, the One World (R)evolution!
