Chuck White

Chuck plays Western and Indian instruments, mixing Hindustani music with jazz fusion and electronic sounds to construct a range of moods for yoga, Kirtan and meditation. He has performed with Dave Stringer, Saul David Raye, Shamans Dream, Jaya Lakshmi and Ananda and with Grammy Award winner David Darling and has appeared at Shakti Fest, Bhakti Fest and the Arise Festival. He is a regular musician at The Yoga Pod in Boulder.

Chuck is a formally-trained musician with a background in Hindustani classical, Kirtan, fusion, rock and blues music. He has played guitar for 46 years and has been studying sitar for five years under Ustaad Surinder Mann and currently with Roshan Jamal Bhartiya.

David Darling called Chuck “A gifted musician and teacher.” "Of all the recent participants in MFP (Music for People) techniques and ideas Chuck represents that rare individual who wants to help all individuals with their quest in finding ways to go deeper into their own music and to find ways to refine the skills that they bring to the workshop. A gifted musician and teacher."

In addition to studying guitar and sitar, Chuck has studied hand drumming with several master teachers including Glen Velez, Jim Greiner, Zorina Wolf and Jayson Fann.
