"Diamond W Wranglers"

Diamond W Wranglers

The music they perform covers a broad palette that appeals to a wide age range of listeners including traditional Western music that pays homage to the Sons of the Pioneers and other Western greats often with their own unique arrangements. Original works such as “Deep in the Saddle”, written by the group’s arranger Jim Farrell, was the title song of the album that received the Will Rogers Award for “Western Music Album of the Year” from the Academy of Western Artists in 2008. Their sound and style are considered to be on the leading edge of “New West” music.

The group has promoted Western Music across the globe. They were the first musicians from the western hemisphere to perform cowboy music in China, performing in Beijing and Shanghai. The Wranglers were the first musicians to have a concert ON the Great Wall of China officially sanctioned by the Chinese government. They also led a troupe of Western entertainers to Carnegie Hall in New York in both 2003 and 2004, and sold it out twice. The group has headlined 5 Cowboy Cruises in the Caribbean. They have performed recently in both Nashville and Branson, as well as many visits to venues, events, and festivals throughout Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Colorado. In September of 2010 they traveled to Germany as part of a tourism promotional mission for the states of Kansas and Oklahoma.

The Diamond W members are Stu Stuart, Jim Farrell, Steve Crawford and Chip Worthington.
