Dorety Brothers

The Dorety Brothers music will be recognizable by some and new to others. It is all original music with a familiar approach. The best term to use might be progressive. That can be taken literally as modern progressive or thought of in the "classic" or "prog" sense. The Dorety Brothers' sound has been compared to early "progressive" bands like Yes, Rush and Genesis, but has been likened to pop bands as well, such as U2 and DEVO. Comparisons are unfair, as are classifications, because they do not tell the whole story. Listen and judge for yourself. For as the music continues, so too shall it evolve.

The overall tone of Timespan is one of medieval magic, visionaries, and spirituality. The Dorety Brothers do a wonderful job projecting emotions and imagery into their music and this is quite a feat. Chris and Arthur Dorety were both blessed with an abundance of talent and the skill to be able to put their creativity into the form of music. The album Timespan proves that tenfold. -Rhonda Readence
