A composer and performer who plays most instruments he can get his hands on, Edward Jenny has a musical career spanning decades and including work all over the United States and Canada. Inspired originally by his grandmother's mandolin music, and with encouragement by his high school band teacher to "follow your natural ear for music and play what you feel," Edward has been performing in public since age 6, in church and community bands and school orchestras, setting out on the road to tour in rock and roll bands in 1963.

Edward Jenny has played in a wide variety of bands and styles including St. Louis favorites Acid Sette, The Truth, Lord Byron's Poets, Destacado Aces, Unknowns/Spur, Rotterdam Revoloving Door Company, Touch; Owl, Empress, Kid Chrysler, Don Brown, Robert Delonge S*x Therapy, Charlie Gerhardt, Monta Faye, Dirk Anger, Herbie Vent, Voyager, Colors, Edward Jenny Band and more.

Edward has also done studio work for a wide variety of artists over 40+ years in major studios around the country including Arc Music, Chess Records, Triangle Studio, Kaye-Smith Studio, Sir Studio, Rendezvous Studio, MGM, Universal Arc/Western United Studio, Warner and many regional studios all over the U.S.

Edward has recorded music as artist/studio player for labels including Cadet Concept, Chess Records, Sire Records, MGM, Universal, Warner, NBC and Sunforest-Waterwahl Publishing, as well as composing original soundtrack music for a variety of film, television, commercials and educational projects.

During his career, Edward has played in bands opening for most of the major Billboard Top 100 musical groups of the 60s including Alice Cooper, Allman Joys, Allman Brothers, Alvin Lee, Big Brother And Holding Co., Big Horn, Blind Faith, Blues Project, Buddy Guy, Byrds, Chicago, Chuck Berry, Climax Blues Band, Cream, Delaney And Bonnie, Doors, Dr. John, Fontella Bass, Ford Theatre, Grateful Dead, Hour Glass, Iggy Pop, Iron Butterfly, Jefferson Airplane, Jethro Tull, John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers, Kenny Rogers, Kim Fowler, Love, Lovin’ Spoonful, Motor City 5, Naz, One Eyed Jacks, Paul Revere & the Raiders, Question Mark and the Mysterians, Quicksilver Messenger Service, REO Speedwagon, Rotary Connection, Shirley Ellis, Sopwith Camel, St. Louis Symphony, Sunshine Company, Taj Mahal, The Left Banke, The Seeds, Velvet Underground, War, Who, Yardbirds, Young Rascals and more.

After taking time away from recording to pursue his other career in software development, Edward is back in the studio again recording albums worth of new materials stored up in his musical imagination, using M-Audio Solo with Ableton Live 8.

Emerald Forest Rhythms marks his return to the global music scene with this easy listening blend of rock, jazz and new age instrumental music created to capture the magical experience of living in the woods in the Pacific Northwest. Each song tells a story of an experience in the woods, at the ocean and the lakes, and in the rain, snow and sun of the magnificent part of the planet that Edward calls home.
