Jeff Anderson

Jeff Anderson
Jeff Anderson’s enmeshment in the world of music, guitar, classical guitar, and songwriting dates back to 1990 when he picked up his first electric guitar. In 1991, at the age of 14, Jeff joined his first band, Phases, and helped to create their first (and only) demo. A few years after Phases disbanded, Jeff joined a talented ensemble entitled Creamy Linguini. Jeff acquired a great deal of on-stage experience during the years he played with the aforementioned bands. At the age of 17, Jeff began to teach professional guitar lessons, classical and beginners’ lessons, to both the young and old at heart. From 2000 to 2007, Jeff was involved in several different musical projects with a variety of musicians. During that time, Jeff began writing material that would soon make up his debut album, Soldiers Home Road.
In 2008, Jeff enlisted two talented musicians, Brad Hamer and Scott Pazera (known as Jeff Anderson and the Effect), to assist in creating, arranging, and recording Soldiers Home Road. Soldiers Home Road was recorded and mixed at Sound Logic Studios (Lafayette, IN). The CD was mastered by Randy Merrill at Masterdisk in NYC. Jeff Anderson and The Effect have played several local venues. However, due to the band members’ busy schedules and involvement in other projects, Jeff and The Effect play live about 2-4 times a year. As a solo artist, Jeff has played a multitude of venues, benefit shows, concerts/shindigs for Purdue University (Jeff also teaches guitar through the musical department at Purdue University) and performs regularly at the Blue Fin, a local posh bistro in downtown Lafayette. Jeff is looking to spread his musical wings to Indianapolis and Chicago. Jeff recently played the 2010 Taste of Tippecanoe in Lafayette, IN.
In addition to the Soldiers Home Road material, Jeff has many more original songs, some of which he plans to record (very soon) in order to produce and distribute a 4-5 track demo. Jeff’s music is available on CD Baby (both digitally and CD’s), iTunes, Zune Marketplace, Napster, Amazon mp3, Rhapsody, and various other internet sites who provide digital music downloads.
