Jim Dyar Band

The Jim Dyar Band blends diverse roots stylings from far Northern California. The band's second album, "Rembrandts on Red Walls," was released in October (2013) and features eight new tunes by Dyar, one apiece by band members Torri Pratt and Tracy Manuel, and a traditional performed by multi-instrumentalist Morgan Hannaford. The current JDB lineup also includes keyboardist Rick Larsen.

The band's debut album, "Magical Land," in 2009, featuring such live show staples as "Hold On," "Ridgeview," "Ragged Edge" and the title track. In 2011, the current JDB lineup joined Redding musicians Paul Calkins and Clay Harvey to form Muletown, a neo-bluegrass acoustic ensemble which released the album "Muletown" and toured the West Coast region.

The Jim Dyar Band and Muletown have shared the stage at festivals and concerts with such artists as Dave Alvin and the Guilty Women, James McMurtry, Blame Sally, Tom Rigney and Flambeau, Rita Hosking and Cousin Jack, Incendio and many others. Jim has collaborated with members of Merle Haggard's Strangers and has a songwriting credit on the Haggard tune "Christmas in Cabo San Lucas." The band continues to perform live throughout the region.
