KC Nwokoye

KC Nwokoye is a singer-songwriter, composer and producer. Growing up in Lagos Nigeria, KC was deeply involved in the Arts and being creative. He has been writing music from a very young age for community projects and other mediums. After obtaining his Master's degree in Professional Communications Management from Clark University Worester, Massachusetts in 2009, where he graduated summa cum-Laude and received the Dean's Award for "Outstanding Academic Achievement", KC decided to focus more on composing and writing music that told human stories which would inspire and entertain others.

KC writes all his own music and every song was inspired by a chain of events. The title of his first EP "Matters of the heart" came about after he finished writing the songs on the record and listening to its stories. He was convinced that out of the heart are the core issues of life such as love, life, happiness and loss. The first single on the album "Darla" basically tells a story of falling in love and all you have on your mind is that person's face or your memory of them constantly running through your thoughts. The song "Darla" creates a delightful feeling that makes you smile helplessly with sheer joy according to listeners. Another song "Yesterday" on the record tells a story of making a choice of commitment and following your heart despite your fears and he dedicates this song to his dad. There are many different elements to the entire album because it touches on many aspects of musical genres to include jazz, alternative rock, easy listening, acoustic soul, neo R&B, folk and many more. The album has something for everyone in every age and that is the uniqueness of KC as an Artist . A tutor once said "when he sings, it feels like he's singing to you no matter the age. It's so endearing and yet positively personal. I just love the record, it's so much fun to listen to".

KC's music has been called a blend of Easy Listening with songs that echos influences from Artists like Andy Williams, Maroon 5, John Legend, Bing Crosby to Jazz Singers like Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble. "If you're a lover of very good music then you'll no doubt enjoy KC's songs" says a renowned pianist.

His new album and first full length record "SHINE" will be another classic people will be talking about for a while. It's pure joy like the title states to listen to the record.

Music is the scent of life for KC and has been a part of his life for as long as he can remember!
