You will find Mark playing nightly at either Portland City Grill, Heathman Lodge or The Benson Hotel, along with other venues, concerts, weddings and special events. Mark is not only a piano player and vocalist, he is a true entertainer. He connects well with his audience and captures them emotionally. Whether on the concert stage or in an intimate fireside setting, playing and singing his own compositions or covering popular favorites, Mark's ability to communicate with the audience touches souls and stirs emotions. Mark's music quite simply makes people feel good ! This award winning songwiter/singer has been a full time professional musician since the age of 17. His talent and love for music have earned him a college scholarship and taken him on performance tours of the British Isles, Europe, Canada and the U.S. gathering fans from around the world. Mark was the keyboard player, founder and leader of the very popular dance band "Freeway", in the late 70's and early 80's. Even today, Freeway fans seek out the bands old recordings and Freeway tee-shirts. Mark currently leads and performs with his band Mark J & Too Much ! Established in 1984, Mark J & Too Much is one of the most versatile and popular variety dance bands in the Northwest. Covering a huge array of musical styles, the band is in constant demand, playing for special events and corporate functions. Mark J has recorded 12 CD's to date.
