Nick Adams

Having been involved with music since a young age, 9, Nick has had opportunities to work with many great artists and work in many environments that played crucial roles in growing his abilities as a musician.

Growing up actively playing guitar in churches he was guided and mentored by musicians with years of experience and talent. Starting off taking formal guitar classes he was able to begin his work with a firm musical foundation. Pushing through the years continuing being actively involved in churches and in bands he was part of an album release with Stop Me Short in Chicago, the album was released as “From the Ashes.” After the release of that album he moved to Texas to pursue a degree in Music where his talents continued to grow and where he was given the privilege of working weekend jobs leading music for churches. Finally switching his degree to Ministry and Leadership but still actively taking music courses.

After continuing to take Vocal, Piano, and more Guitar classes Nick worked to continue to grow as a musician. Pressing forward to write music more actively and bring together solo material. He currently has published a couple completely self-produced works with great reception from across the world via the large network he has worked to build up.

One of his works is titled “Without You,” the song was a piece of inspiration. After dreaming about a friend that Nick had met on the other side of the world he wrote this song out of a feeling of loss for the friend that he would not be able to see for an unknown amount of time.

Another of his published works, entitled “Indifference,” was written out of a change making perspective. The song speaks of a war-torn village and of a woman who tries to protect her son from the horrors that exist in war-torn parts of the world. Ultimately the woman fails her goal and the song aims to give the listener a sense of urgency or a desire to take action in a way that would change the outcome of stories like hers that happen so often in the world.

Nick is continuing his education to finish a bachelor's degree at Columbia College Chicago in Audio Arts and Acoustics and will continue to write music and live in a way that would push others to make the same change that he is trying to make.
