Pat Nason & the Regular Crew

"Though Pat Nason’s vocals & songs evoke a simpler time, in fact his work is Timeless." -- Jimi Yamagishi, Songwriters Network.
"If you like Sheryl Crow, Petty’s Wildflowers, or the thoughtful side of Springsteen, then Nason is for you!" -- Will Engel, (LA)

Americana singer-songwriter-guitarist Pat Nason draws on a lifetime of experience in journalism to create songs that have earned a reputation among his peers for witty lyrics, catchy melodies, elegant craftsmanship and true feeling. Using humor, emotional depth, and an observant eye for human behavior, Pat mostly writes stories about love -- the joy of finding it and the pain of losing it, the thrill of a new flame and the contentment that comes with settling in for the long haul with a lasting romance.

He counts John Prine, Merle Haggard and Kris Kristofferson among his main influences, and his writing has been compared to that of Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty and Loudon Wainwright III.

Pat has been writing and performing his songs for decades, while raising a family and working as a reporter in radio and print -- including a stint as Hollywood correspondent for United Press International. The 2014 release of his first EP, Nearly New, coincided with Pat's retirement from journalism and a new beginning in music.

A Baltimore native, currently based in Santa Clarita, Calif., Pat earned a bachelor's degree at Towson University in Maryland, with majors in mass communication and theater -- merging a talent for clear storytelling with the creative play of rhythm, rhyme and melody. An experienced actor, director and producer, Pat brings real-world knowledge of performance and stagecraft to his live appearances and studio dates.

He and his band, Pat Nason & The Regular Crew, will release a new CD, All The Time In The World, this spring.
