Ron Tool & the Capitalists

Ron Tool and The Capitalists is the first solo recording by Detroit Punk pioneer, writer, and vocalist Ron Tool (John E. Hett) of The C.I.A., Granfalloon, and The Teenage Alcoholics. This full-length Pho-Net-Ic Records release is his first pseudo solo release.

Founded in 2011, Ron Tool and The Capitalists recruited a number of multi-instrumentalists: Joe Montenegro (Djeto Juncaj) of Immigrant Suns, Granfalloon, The C.IA., The Teenage Alcoholics; on lead guitar, Robert Nasir of the 1980s Detroit avant garage band TREBOR; on drums, Matt Chapman of the Detroit noise artists, Taxi Drivers; on bass guitar, Amy Nasir, classically trained Punk Chick, and TREBOR drummer. John E. Hett rounds out the group on 12- and six-string rhythm guitar.
