Scott Anthony Andrews

Scott Anthony Andrews, a prairie singer-songwriter, studied composition, piano and vocal jazz at Vancouver Community College. Scott’s genre is Adult Contemporary (AC) with significant nods to smooth jazz, smooth AC, SoftAC, AC R&B and AC-inspirational—each of which colours his CD of self-penned works “Courage Walks with Us.” With his previous CD “Faith is a Bicycle” (2013), Scott toured Canada. This first CD received regional airplay on CBC Radio, and also garnered internet radio airplay and favourable blog attention. Additionally, several vocal ensembles performed songs from “Faith is a Bicycle.” The October (2014) release concert of “Courage” featured jazz/pop/country guitarist Rich McFarlane, who played on both CDs, as did Gent Laird (bass) and Glenn Ens (percussion). Ross Nykiforuk produced (as well as played on) “Faith” and “Courage” (Sheep Dogs, Deep Dark Woods). The Songwriters Association of Canada sponsored a Singer-Songwriter Contest (2014), and named Scott a Top Finalist for the lead track “The Chronoscope Trips.”
