Susan Said

SUSAN SAID (led by singer/songwriter Susan Wilson-Sed) has released their 4th studio album – UNDER THE DARK TREE engineered and mixed by Bruce Buchanan (Atlantic Records). Her song “A Great Day” – the first track on the new release, dropped a month ago and received numerous downloads. The song was played on an Amazon series and has been submitted for a Daytime Emmy Award for “Best Original Song.”
Wilson-Sed has had several songs in TV and Film. Most notably her ballad “Run You Away” which was featured in the film “Federal Hill.” The song had record breaking downloads from all over the world since the movie (and song) played frequently on Cinemax, HBO, Showtime, Starz and others after its theatrical release.
The band has played Irving Plaza in NYC – opening for the cast of NBCs Saturday Night Live – with Amy Poehler, Rachel Dratch, Janeane Garofalo and Chevy Chase as part of the New York Comedy Film Festival
Her song “Mr. Touchy Feely” (from the "BIG LIFE" release) made its way to number 5 on the college charts, and the band has played the main stage of the Pleasantville Music Festival in Pleasantville, NY as well as many other outdoor festivals.
The band has toured all over the world and was recently voted one of the “Bands to Watch.”

Official videos for "I Just Don't Care, "BIG LIFE, and "Politician" are available at

"On Sunday" is a not a song about the day of the weekend, but about a party girl named "Sunday." Lyrical twists like these and amazing musicianship are what keep the band on the top download charts.
“Polyvinylchloride” – is a full length CD that is garnering critical praise. The first track, "Teetering on the Edge" - a cynical, humorous song about people on self-destruct missions - was picked by director Jesse Cummings to be the main theme song in his film The Full-Fledged Bastards. Credits include playing on bill with The Bloodhound Gang (Universal) & Caviar (Island).

Hearing the band's ballad "Run You Away", film director Michael Corrente - (American Buffalo w/Dustin Hoffman, Outside Providence w/Alec Baldwin) - decided to use this tune as the main theme song for his film Federal Hill (starring Nick Turturro). The ballad spread worldwide via the film, and has become a signature song for the band.

Sed’s unmistakable melodic belt and unique songwriting are accompanied by an equally talented band of musicians. Matt Rocchio on bass and Brendan Saadat on lead guitar are as talented as they are visually stimulating to watch. Together they create a wall of sound that is tough and hair raising. You won't see or hear a better live show.

Their retro/compilation CD - "We Don't Have All Day," has been released on and iTunes where fans have been downloading the very popular ballad "Run You Away” from the film Federal Hill.
There is nothing like a SUSAN SAID show - They will absolutely "kick ya in the head a little, and wake yer ass up!"
