Unique ingredients in the world-class recipe of flavors that make one delicious Taro Gold.

As a child, Taro played in the historic neighborhoods of Kyoto, Japan, raced across Australia’s white, sandy beaches and blazed a creative path through the anything-is-possible entertainment world of California. According to Taro, the life lessons he gained through his global kaleidoscope of adventures, particularly with his beloved Obaa-chan (Japanese grandmother) in the Kyoto countryside, later inspired his wildly successful line of books and now his J-pop music.

As a pre-teen starring in Broadway musicals, including Peter Pan, Evita and March of the Falsettos, Taro gained a passion for music. Since then, songwriting, singing and producing music have been ingrained in his heart and soul.

In high school, Taro began excerpting from his lifelong collection of travel journals to develop essays about his life experiences for local newspapers. These soon evolved into books. The first, Open Your Mind, Open Your Life, which Taro originally self-published while a student at UCLA, was a smash hit and rocketed to the top of the New York Times best-seller list.

Taro produced several more successful titles, including the widely embraced What Is Love? A Simple Guide to Romantic Happiness, as well as The Tao of Dad and The Tao of Mom, collections of inspiration from heroes and heroines around the world, and the beloved Living Wabi Sabi: The True Beauty of Your Life, based on lessons of the heart from his Obaa-chan, which was lauded by TIME magazine and countless reviewers around the world.

Taro imbues all his work with the pure intention to inspire hope, love and joy in people’s daily lives. Today, his books have been published in seven languages and more than forty nations, touching the lives of millions of people worldwide.

While his books continue to gain devotees around the world, Taro is now pouring his heart into his lifetime passion for music, music that moves the soul. Calling on his global network of talented friends, he recently created the foundation for a new multimedia project in Japan under the working title “Diamond (The Diamond You).” The results have been embraced by both music legends and fans alike.

Much like his early years growing up, Taro Gold today spends half of his time in Japan and the other half abroad, spanning the globe from Las Vegas, Nevada, to Punta Mita, Mexico.

Taro actively contributes his time and resources to make the world a better place, especially to help needy children in Peru, Canada, the United States and Southeast Asia. He enjoys traveling, cooking, yoga, good films, eating chocolate and playing with his Italian Greyhound, Princess. He loves flying and is studying to earn his pilot’s license. The next time you hear a small plane fly overhead, look up and wave “Hello, Taro-chan!”

Enjoying the unlimited power of now, Taro encounters one more new adventure, one more new friend each and every day. Will you be the one today?
