The Dutch

The Dutch is an Amsterdam based pop group. Founded in the eighties, the band released three albums (Working In Los Alamos, This Is Welfare and Under The Surface) and a couple of hit singles in the Netherlands, including This Is Welfare, America and Another Sunny Day.

In 2015, when the back catalogue albums were remastered by sound engineer Wout de Kruif and distributed online, the original members of the band reunited and started writing and recording new songs. They are Hans Croon (vocals and guitars), Bert Croon (keyboards and vocals), Jan de Kruijf (bass guitar and vocals) and Klaas Jonkmans (drums and vocals).

"Four", released in 2016, was the fourth album by The Dutch after a long break. The album was produced by Wout de Kruif together with The Dutch.

In 2018, their fifth album "Werkman" was released, dedicated to the De Ploeg, a group of artists from Groningen that was founded in 1918. The music video of the title song So Long H.N. Werkman was shown in the Groninger Museum during the centenary exhibition of De Ploeg. The album was mixed and produced by Martijn Groeneveld, together with The Dutch.
