Trish Lober

Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to check out my bio . . .

Music became my passion around age 12. I started writing songs at that time and copyrighted my first one a year later, when I was 13. I was at the piano every chance I could get! I started playing in various pop bands when I was 14 and then, 5 years later, decided to study at Berklee College of Music . . . here I studied many things: film scoring, jazz theory, harmony, ear training, etc., and took many different types of arranging courses, since Commercial Arranging was my major. My goal when I went to Berklee was to become a very well-rounded musician.

After 5 semesters at Berklee, I transferred to the U. of Memphis to continue my studies in commercial music. I also started teaching piano and have continued to do this to this day . . . however, my heart's passion remains in the crafting, arranging and production of the song . . .

After signing a publishing contract with Simply Grand Music in Memphis, I decided to pursue other opportunities in Nashville. I moved there in 1994 and, after spending six years pursuing other publishing deals/artist cuts, I realized that I was supposed to be the one singing my own songs. I released my "freshman" EP, "That Which I Have Promised", in 2004 and continued to play at coffee houses and churches. It would be 10 years before I released my next project, a single titled, "My Rock". Another single, "Come Runnin' Home", was also recorded and videoed live in the studio two years after that (2014).

My current project, an 8 song album, is my most exciting project yet. What it IS NOT is the usual Contempory Christian Music - what it IS is a unique and eclectic blend of refreshingly powerful tunes for the church - something that is much needed and that people are craving today. I think there is something for every taste on this album. From the funky "Child of the King" to the soft, meditational "John 14:27", each song has a character of it's own. Can't wait for you to hear it, so please download or purchase a physical copy today! And please also consider following me on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

For His Glory,

Trish
