UADG is a beat laboratory based on experimental research, active since 2010. It begins from the idea of gathering musicians from different backgrounds, in order to create a stylistic identity ranging between classical to electronic music, through rock and jazz, until it reaches free improvisation.

Synthesis is part of the musical culture presented in the UADG project. As the artisans of the band are experimenting new languages, through assimilation and reintroduction, study and interpretation, sounds and harmonies take shape and merge into a single melodic stream. Therefore simplification is not only essential: it’s the natural line in order to achieve a cleaner and looser structure.

Research and experimentation are the basis of UADG conception. Through the study of new sounds and the analysis of existing musical categories, it is possible to put together the resulting product and refine the stylistic solutions: a blend of genres in order to achieve polished rhythm and dense tones, offering the combination of elements picked up from jazz, folk, electronic music. Everything developes through the use of technology, both concerning the path that brings to the choice of the sounds, and the integration of electronic music and pattern loops. The instruments themselves take on a new role, showing alternative ways for experimentations of meaning and effect.

UADG heads up an investigation in the world of composition, running experimentations ranging from acoustic to electronic, moving through a detailed arrangement, until getting to free interpretation. The musicians serve one each other, but at the same time they are free to express themselves.

“We start from a sound and we build a song.”
Every member of UADG offers his own identity for the collective processing of a simple and immediate idea. It turns into instantaneous composition, inspired by the current context, the people around and the perceived sensations. Awareness of the process and of the ways it developes is the key to pursuing that objective, retaining the coherence of thought that’s necessary to turn free improvisation into real compositions.
