Vickie Christensen

Vickie Christensen is the first woman in her family to claim the title of composer and arranger. She’s passionate about writing music that transmits positive values into the world such as, love, kindness, and patriotism. She has written and arranged music around historical, sacred, and holiday themes. She has also composed toe-tapping music for children. Her most recent album is “The Gettysburg Address” set to music and sung by tenor Banner Smith.

Vickie received a BA in Music Theory and an MA in music composition from Brigham Young University. While living in New York she was privileged to study music composition with Stanley Wolfe at the Juilliard School of Music. Prior to writing and arranging full time she had a varied career teaching Suzuki violin, playing in community orchestras, and driving a minivan to soccer games. Presently she lives with her husband and cat in Salt Lake City, UT and loves spending time with her grandchildren, creating songs that inspire their imaginations and teaches them what matters most.
