One Fifty One (151) evolved from the ashes of a band called Dustin Bonz. The band enjoyed success in the early to mid-1990's, recording an album in 1994 that can still be found for sale on eBay from time to time as a "rare indie collectible".
As the 90's progressed, some members left the fold, and the band eventually dissolved for good. But the musical embers for some members still burned.
Bob (Guitar) and John (Drums), two of the founding members of Dustin Bonz, played in various projects in the years following, eventually reconnecting with a high school friend Mike (guitar player) in 2013 and the groundwork for what would become 151 was formed.
As luck would have it, a local bass player named Tom was looking for a new group and the guys answered Tom's ad in early 2015. The next piece of the puzzle was added with Tom taking on dual roles as both bass player and lead singer. 151 was now a 4 piece project with dual guitars and a solid rhythm section with Tom and John on bass and drums. The music flowed and 151 was complete. Or so it seemed.
In early 2017, Mike decided that he needed to pursue other musical interests and left the fold. With the loss of Mike, the remaining members decided it was time to pursue a more capable formula in the form of a replacement guitar player, along with a lead singer.
As luck would have it, after auditioning several singers and guitar players, the guys were fortunate to find two very talented musicians in Greg (Lead Vocals) and Chris (Guitar).
The new lineup is complete and 151 is working hard to rock your world. Crafting both kick ass covers of your favorite classic rock, 80's rock and metal songs and catchy original tunes you will enjoy. And with any luck, become your favorites as well.
Stay tuned. The best is yet to come.....
