ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I was sixteen when I got to hear and see the Four Freshmen in concert. Thus began my long love affair with jazz vocal groups, including the HiLos, Lambert, Hendricks and Ross, and The Double Six of Paris. The 80's and 90's brought the Singers Unlimited, Manhattan Transfer, New York Voices and Nashville's own Take Six. Now comes 3rd Coast Vocals, carrying the banner squarely into the 21st Century, and I'm still in love!

Director, singer, write and arranger Jeff Hall is joined by Christina Watson, soprano; Sandra Dudley, alto; and Mark Stephens, baritone; in a vocal ensemble that hears, sings and moves as one voice. They can swing, and swing hard, then they can turn around and break your heart with a ballad. They can, literally, "Fly You to Forever", or take you to the "Continental" for a little musical cuisine.

And how about that rhythm section, and those superb jazz soloists who provide a warm musical cushion to lean back and swing on! This is a beautifully produced recording, with gorgeous singing and playing that will put a smile on your face that stays there.
