Album Notes
'Left in Places' was recorded throughout the summer and fall of 2009 in various studios, garages and friends houses. Engineered by bassist George Knuff, Taylor Jeffels, and new member Jordan Bennett the album is a result of experimentation, creative recording techniques and countless all nighters. Written over the past two years the songs range from the bands past to present and are centered around themes of self reflection and interactions with the outside world. The sounds are diverse and rich: from the melancholy 'Box and the Bee' written about the loss of a mother, the building energy in 'Eva,' to the pulsating beat of 'Great Bear' (a tribute to the Canadian Wilderness). Horns were provided by Jacob Uber in one session at the Garage.
