ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
45 Souls is a Chicago rock group with pop and folk influences. Songwriter Mike Petersen has been writing and recording music in the Chicago area since 1993 in such bands as Ilk and We The Cats. He writes, sings and plays acoustic guitar and keyboards. Lester Moore provides lead and rhythm guitar textures and background vocals. Lester is also involved in several side projects, including the Lester Moore band. Gibson Arlasky provides the bottom-end boom for 45 Souls, along with background vocals. Gibson and Mike wrote, produced and recorded the soundtrack for the 2003 film "Tio's Game," re-released in 2005 as "Everyday." John Spicuzza provides the dynamic roles of drummer and percussionist. John and Lester are also the rhythm section for one of Chicago's favorite cover bands, The Damn Hoovers.

Destined to be a classic
The songs on Spiralbound come through effortlessly - like a friend you've known for awhile, who still manages to keep an interesting element of surprise. There is no pretention, just poetic lyrics accompanying a lush, genuine sound...
a real gem!
