ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
In 1967 a Los Angeles newspaper described 'Deepest Valley Theater' situated near the base of Mt. Whitney, as a" natural amphitheater with perfect acoustics for music." Acoustic Solution discovered the history of this sight by means of the local museums and libraries, and decided to record there so as to perpetuate the unusual and obscure. Past artists to perform there include classical pianists Iren Marik and John Ranck, as well as musicians from the Ravi Shankar Indian School of Music, and unusual composer and instrument maker Harry Partch. This movie is part travelogue, part live performance, part quirky! Learn more about the area called the Alabama Hills, where many old western movies were filmed. Enjoy the ten Acoustic Solution songs used in the film. "It's a story waiting to be told." N. Masters from the Independence Library
