ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
These songs came out of the singer/songwriter Blair Hebert's evolution from acoustic fingerstyle songwriting into more rhythm based music. Going back to the original recordings of Louis Jordan, Fats Waller, Slim Gaillard and other pre and war era musicians, Blair borrowed from the greats and developed his own style of swing music based on the Early R&B tradition. These entertaining upbeat songs can easily be performed solo on guitar, or as on the CD. All songs are arranged with full band and horns except for On the Sunny Side of the Street, which is arranged for guitar, vocals and a shout chorus. The response to this CD has been very positive among early jazz enthusiasts and the individual tracks will make an excellent addition to a listeners upbeat digital playlist.
