Album Notes
Brass Farthing is a group of stalwart lads brought together to sing songs, raise good cheer, and otherwise make merry in the company of friends both old and new. We take our inspiration from many periods and enjoy performing historical, traditional, and contemporary compositions in traditional styles.

This debut self-titled album showcases our range of English beer hall songs, Irish ballads, choral masterpieces and some pretty darn funny stuff too. It's true that most of the songs are about beer, but we also sing about dogs, mussels, whiskey and... well, more beer. Some might even say this album was fueled by the inspirational power of beer. The layered and swaggering harmonies of Brass Farthing will transport you to dusty pub where the taps are a-flowing. The choruses are catchy so you can sing along and take swigs of the Bitter during the verses, just like we do. So join in, raise a pint and sing along with the boys of Brass Farthing. Cheers!

“...dynamic, enjoyable...captivating...musically tight...fun...a wonderful show ...I recommend them highly and without reservation.”
- Ariane Wolfe, Chair, Nova Albion Steampunk Exhibition

“...an entertaining group singing happy songs while raising good cheer....What a part Brass Farthing had on that stage. What a privilege to have attended their ale house.”
- Stacy Lynne, From My Perspective
