Album Notes
Out of print almost as soon as it was released in 2000, “The Broken Silence” is re-visited, re-stored and re-released ten years after the clocks rolled over in solitude.

In addition to the original tracking and a few brushstrokes, an additional melted down track, largely from original album sources, was added to the tracking.

A pure sonic excitement guaranteed!!!
Marked as 4th album of this talented US musician, but this is remastered edition of Brian's first out-of-print CDr album from 2000 featuring also one bonus track and released 10 years later. Brian is also known as crafted didgeridoo player and builder. I must say immediately that remastering brought this work into top tribal-ambient level, both musically and sonically. The music is skillfully crafted with absolute preciseness and detail, just the same can be said about its crystalline, almost audiophile sound quality. A pure sonic excitement guaranteed!!! "Forthcoming" kicks-off the show with its pulsating tribal rhythm colored with many detailed, at time eclectic sounds, voices, didge... Follows "Solace In Solitude", a 28-minute long floating and hypnotic gloomy epic mostly dominated by sounds reminding me chirping sounds of cicadas. Fully enjoyable and rewarding night journey!!! The first half of "Silent Millenium", as indicates its title, is the most serene and tranquil composition on this album, while the second half is accompanied by some tribal drumming and rainy sounds. Closer and bonus "Forged From Silence", melted down album mix, is the darkest piece and most, if I can say, experimental or rough, spiced by some occasional tribal glitches, but not disturbing, while the second half is more spacey with subtle tribal drumming slowly fading away, really enjoyable too. I am very happy Brian has decided to re-work his debut album, because what we got here, is one of the highlights of tribal-ambient genre during 2010. Nice job, Brian!!! And by having this masterwork on credit, I can't wait for the forthcoming collaboration of Brian with his master, Steve Roach, entitled "The Desert Inbetween" and scheduled for release in early January, 2011. Stay tuned, I think it's going to be a big one!!!
