ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
MUSIC OF MALE SUFFERING AND LOSS

"The Shilo Sessions"

Shorty after his release from Leavenworth Federal Penitentiary and just before his tragic death in a washing machine accident, Buck McCreedy got his old band back together for one last sheit-kicking shebang in what became known as "The Shilo Sessions," though no one quite knows why, since the recordings were all done in Chatanaooga at Buck's Mom's place. To a man, they call came back -- Clyde Avery, Lester Skanks, Sugar Bear Davis and Harry "Headwound" Hoofnagel -- to record a timeless set of songs that stand as a lasting tribute to male suffering and loss.

Buck's lifelong trouble with girls was the major inspiration for these tunes, and making these recordings brought him total peace shortly before his untimely death at the age of 55. His mighty voice has been stilled, but his music will live forever as one man's last cry for dignity and respect in a woman's world.

Includes all of Buck's Greatest Hits -- "ECONO LODGE LOVE" ... "I WON'T SEE YOU IN THE CHAT ROOM" ... "A GIRL HALF MY AGE" ... "HANG IT UP" ... "MY DOG BOO" and MORE.
