Album Notes
Born in the era of Jim Croce, Willie Nelson, Paul Simon and Gordon Lightfoot and coming of age during the reign of The Dave Matthews Band, Dan Hagemann seeks to tell stories as well as it does to groove with his first studio release, "Before We Fade". The pervasive theme throughout the album is that of living life to its fullest. Hagemann reminds us that regardless of what stuggles we have faced in the past, every breath is another opportunity; every breath is a second chance to do what we've always wanted or always dreamed. The albums title track is a funky acoustic-rock tribute to his musical beginning of drinking beer with a bunch of friends and a couple of acoustic guitars around a bonfire in northern Illinois. Backing him up are some of the best musicians Nashville has to offer including Matt Martino on piano and organ, Dennis Lee playing lead guitar, and brothers Mike and Billy Duncan rounding out the rhythm section of drums and bass, respectively.

Rock Solid
Gritty and honest songwriting is the prevailing undercurrent throughout this album, and all in all, it works beautifully. You won't be disappointed! If you like Martin Sexton, Keller Williams or Matt Martino (who produced this album, coincidentally), you'll enjoy Dan Hagemann.
