ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This is my first solo effort .. I wrote 9 of the 10 tunes, and I also play piano, bass, guitar, sax and clarinet; all the instruments except for drums, which are expertly covered by my friend Jeff Crouse. Recording was done on my 16 track, piano and drums together, one session at my house and two at Jeff's. Although I added all the other instruments later, it doesn't sound "tracked" to Jeff and me. You would expect the interplay between piano and drums, but it feels like it's there with the other instruments as well. Cosmic stuff.

Many different musical styles are represented. Funk tune, jazz waltz, slow bluesy swing, fast Latin, ballad, odd time meter boogie, bossa, up swing, blues with a gospel feel, and whatever the heck you call what I did with Norwegian Wood. I'm proud of it. Hope you like it.
