Album Notes
'Edge of Existence' is the highly anticipated and long-awaited sophomore release from North Carolina hard rock band Delorean. Featuring the introduction of lead vocalist Rob Caudle, the album takes the band in a new direction with a more contemporary sensibility while still retaining their classic metal and progressive rock roots. Returning in their capacities on guitar are Dan Cummins and John Stone, as well as Jeremy Clark and Adam Satterwhite on bass and drums, respectively. 'Edge of Existence' runs the gamut in both dynamics and tone, with slow introspective soundscapes providing a respite from the heavier moments. Delorean has upped their pop sense with catchy vocal hooks in tracks like 'War Within' and 'Luminous', as well as taking their own instrumental virtuosity to the next level on 'Day of Days' and the epic 9-minute closer 'Uneasy Peace'. The album also features their best production values to date, accentuating the riffs, rhthyms, and melodies. At 80 minutes, 'Edge of Existence' packs a serious punch for a single album, and isn't to be missed for fans of rock that dares to go one step further.
