ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
With creative guitar work, amazing keys and synth, a rhythm section that will blow your mind, and three vocalists, it's very easy to say that Here In Cycle definitely has their own sound. In mid 2008, Here In Cycle (formerly Promise Me Silence) took a look around at the Columbus music scene and what people listen to these days and noticed that a lot of it sounded extremely uniform. So, they decided to do something about it. Promise Me Silence then took a year off to write "The Pendulum" in hopes to give people something new to appreciate that didn't sound like everything else. During this time period Promise Me Silence changed their lineup and their name, wiping the slate clean and starting from scratch in order to show everyone that they were serious about what they were trying to do. After writing and rehearsing four times a week for nine months straight, the album was finally recorded in the summer of 2009 and was released on Valentines Day of 2010. The name Here In Cycle is a reference to the story of which one of the band members wrote and that the album is based on. The idea is that there is no beginning or end to the story. Instead, it is just a continuous loop that repeats itself and never changes in the characters' favor, no matter how hard they try. Hence they are all trapped here in cycle. The story spans over a millennium and involves almost 20 main characters. So, it goes without saying, "The Pendulum" is only the beginning of the Here In Cycle epic.
