Album Notes
L.A. Times --
[Peter] “has a strong clear voice, up there with Gordon Lightfoot, John Stewart and the other folk hot guys”. . .

In his 30 years of performing, Peter has played clubs & concert venues from Anchorage to Austin, from the Arctic Ocean to the Hawaiian Islands. He has warmed up crowds for George Thorogood, Commander Cody, Marshall Tucker Band, Eddie Rabbitt, Helen Reddy, Billy C. Farlow, & the Texas Tornados. He has also appeared on main stage at Yosemite, CA’s Strawberry Music Festival.

Peter, a “Blue Collar Iconoclast,” writes music which was molded by his life as a wilderness gold prospector, oil field roughneck, actor & more. The Ojai Valley, CA. based singer/songwriter has redefined the traditions of the bards of old. Peter chronicles his life of travel & adventure through a poet’s eye. He turns his rapier wit on the ironies of truly wonderful people living in this world of wars and Wal-Marts.

His varied vocal styles, versatile picking style & bluesy harmonica entwine to cross over genres, creating his seamless blend of folk/ country/ bluegrass/ blues. He brings to stage a drama born of his adventurous life.

Among his main influences are John Prine, Guy Clark, Doc Watson, Townes VanZandt, & the Delta blues men. He’s devoted to keeping alive the music of these contemporary artists as well as traditional folk artists.

On his self-titled album, Peter takes the listener from a mountaintop bathed in Alaskan moonlight to the “Tides” of the California Pacific – the culmination of over 30 years on the road.

Jim Monahan – CD Producer & featured artist: Guitar, Bass, Mandolin & Vocals
For 35 years as a professional musician for his “day-&-night-job,” Jim has played venues ranging from the Monterey Jazz Festival to the Grand Old Opry. With a vast musical vocabulary, he plays his instruments upside down & backwards, which adds an indefinably unique flavor to his music.

He’s toured with Roger Miller, Kenny Loggins, Jim Messina, Chris Hillman & the Desert Rose Band, & recorded with Hillman, Jan & Dean, & Paul Rogers (of Bad Company), to name a few.

Available for concerts & private events.
