Album Notes
Jake Maas epitomizes everything we love about Colorado musicians, his folksy sound capturing the essence of the Front Range. With only his guitar, his harmonica, and his voice, Jake Maas weaves aural magic. His voice is part Adam Duritz and part James Taylor, but with a flavor entirely his own.
Living off the beaten path in Parker but playing for over 3 years with the prolific Kent Denver Rhythm & Blues band, Jake is equally at home sitting around the campfire with only his guitar with his family or in front of audiences of thousands with a 13-piece band. He’s played at the Capitol Hill People’s Fair, Democratic National convention, Sunnyside Music Festival, The Wynkoop Bar and Grill, and Swallow Hill Music Society, to name a few, but can still be found sometimes busking on the streets of Denver. He plays his own original work, for the most part, but has a wide range of covers that he’s not only mastered, he’s made his own. With a lifetime of experience behind his writing and a lifetime of guitar playing behind every strum, Jake’s music connects with everyone that hears it. Instantly familiar, and yet entirely new, Jake Maas is the next superstar, and can’t be missed.
