Just got a copy of the CD. Popped it into the player in my car. Great stuff! I loved Grace this House with its references to a spiritual leader. I had it stuck in my head for days. Bang on!

The first track, Barmaids Away, is very good with lots of rock and roll action. Venus Fly Trap is great with a very good piano opening that sends a great vibe into the song. But my personal favorite is the last song on the CD Sugar Pox where a soft guitar and vocals add an amazing world class touch to the album.

BIO:
Joey Maltese (A.K.A. Joey Scarperia) began a life devoted to music as lead singer and bassist in the hard rock act TOYZ. Their song "Rockin' Disease" appeared on the album "U.S. Metal" produced by Mike Varney. This was followed by a lengthy songwriting partnership with singer/composer Kitty Brazelton. Bands included the Philadelphia based V and the New York based KITTY, ANT ROO BEE and HIDE THE BABIES. Another New York band of note was the carefully constructed SSAUCER, the result of a songwriting collaboration with singer/lyricist Sara Hechtman. Live appearances in New York included The China Club, Irving Plaza, Continental and P.S.122, (as well as the now defunct CBGB's). Previous Joey Maltese releases were "Love It" produced by Theresa Durbin deVeto and Deja Washburn, and "Savage Inside" produced by Robert Agnello with songs mixed by John Agnello.
The sprawling seventeen song "Night of the Muse" clocks in at just under one hour. The songs run the gamut from guitar driven hard rock to piano mash-ups with experimental instrumentation. (More at joeymaltese.com)
