ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"McLane and Bernet wrote and recorded literally hundreds of songs during the eighties and the first half of the 1990s. These 15 re-mastered songs were cautiously hand-selected from a 1984-1989 flurry of pop song writing…chosen because they best seem to cover the gamut of this largely unsung 80's songwriting and production team. Sure, there are plenty of other worthy song contenders…and more “rock” stuff…and even a goofy nationally charting dance hit from 1988, but this is a great representation. As a long time fan of this band, I'm hoping for a 'You Talkin' To Me? : Part 2' soon !"
– by Bill Del Rumple for Rolling Rock Magazine 2012.

“One Word Love” became a success with heavy rotation on a number of adult contemporary stations throughout 1988.
“No Sign of Life” and “Tell Me It’s This” were a ‘Hot Adds’ in Billboard in 1984 and “No Sign” got a lot of airplay around the country.
“The Talk” & “Loud and Clear” were featured internationally in the German ‘Apart’ catalog videos in 1987.

By the way, there is a great MTV- style video for “ Grow Up To Be A Boy” on you tube. (see link on left) This features three of the other performing band members: Larry Zurn on bass, Wayne Oien on keys (watch those knees!) as well as the funkiest drummer this side of Mithithippi, Frank Bradley. Also, thanks to Mike Conway who played great drums on some of the earlier recordings. Boo Yah!

Check out “Terraphane” (see link on left) for some 1990s heavier metal stuff from this same team.
