Composed, arranged and co-produced by Kirk Lorange, No Apostrophe was recorded over six moths in 1983, engineered and co-produced by Michael "Stav" Stavrou, who had just arrived in Australia. Kirk, a Canadian who who moved to Oz in 1974, had established himself as one of Sydney's busier studio musicians, best known for his impeccable slide guitar. After meeting Stav, he decided to take up the offer from WEA Records to put an album together, which he called 'No Apostrophe' people insisted on spelling his last name with an apostrophe after the L. The album became a classic over the years and still stands up today.
