Ghost Letters from the Sea

by Liz Ryder

This singer/songwriter's 3rd studio album features contemporary folk styles mixed with traditional elements to create a haunting and affecting modern folk sound. Think twists of Americana and Bluegrass, crossed with Britfolk, & add a harp to the mix.

Album Notes
Multi Instrumentalist and singer/songwriter, Liz Ryder has been around on the British and American folk scenes for a little under 10 years now. 'Ghost Letters from the Sea' is her 3rd studio album, and the first of her releases to be produced in California. It features original and traditional material, executed with non pedal harp, fingerstyle guitar, piano, sweeping vocals, and her band on slide guitars, mandolins, upright bases and hand drums.

Her eclectic influences explain the intricacies of her musical style. Highly influenced by Folk and Americana, Liz directs her music with a spirit rooted in tradition as well as the contemporary. With a soulful voice, she renders folk songs with a modern twist and approaches song writing with a sense of progression.

Ghost Letters is a culmination of two years worth of balance, growth and work. Please enjoy the ebb and flow...
