Electric Confessions

by Magnetic Cherry

“Discover a subtle arrangement of 'feel-good' pop-rock, tinted with darker shades of blues and country. This album could be described as a balmy summer evening enjoyed with a good friend, and a fine wine.”

Album Notes
Electric Confessions, taking a relatively short period of five months to record has been nigh on a ten year gestation of lyrics, music and experiences that lead vocalist Emma Callaghan has written on note-pads, pizza boxes and other paraphernalia whilst growing up in our seaside suburbia.
The album is an intimate reflection on all the tribulations that come with the teenage struggle into adulthood, but written with a maturity that exceeds her years. A decision was made in early 2009 to organize this vast library of rough ideas into a definitive collection and a band was formed for this purpose.
Emmas brother Chris established himself as a veritable ‘one-man-band’ by his early teens but drums are where his talent really lies and it is this that forms the solid foundation of the Magnetic Cherry sound. Also recruited was self taught guitarist Mark Bushell who had been playing along to electric blues and rock music since he first picked up a guitar at eight years old.
Having all been playing in various acts on the North-East music circuit for the best part of a decade, the band immediately began to gel with a certain spark that only music can characterise. The album has been lauded by local, national and international FM and internet radio and the band is rapidly building in reputation as a rising power on the UK North-East music scene as well as further afield.
As for the music itself? Magnetic Cherry would love any potential listeners to listen for themselves and enjoy the music without it having been shelved into a tidy genre or pigeon- hole as that’s not really what music is about........
