Album Notes
Every Man, Woman, and Child is a piece written to bring the Universal Declaration of Human Rights into accessable forms of expression. The chant, as well as vocal arrangement, are available in a book published by the composer, Merrill Collins.
The book includes curricula for teaching the UDHR at all age levels. The CHANT is an arrangement created for high schools, college level vocal ensembles, and any group presenting these concepts in an outdoor environment. The CHANT was first presented publicly on Dec. 10 2004 at Sproul Plaza, U.C. Berkeley, as part of the Human Rights Day celebration.
