Fantastic Debut Album
Stormy Atmosphere is a prog metal band that was established in 2002 by Teddy Shvets and Eduard Krakov. Its music combines between opera and powerful singing, Folklore and Metal, Classical and Electronic influences.

This album was produced and recorded independently by the band. The name of the albums represents different point of views between people in the world. The guitar player, Artium, is the perfectionist of the band and responsible for designing the website, and the recording of the album. The big influences of the band are Dream Theater, Evergrey and, Symphony X and Russian Folk.

Awaken is a powerful and strong song that opens the album, where the band shows its folk influences for the first time in the album. There are many rhythm changes in the song and many variations of the main riff of the song, including fantastic guitar solos.

The third song, Circle, with a good rhythm section and atmospheric arrangement by the keyboards while the guitars provides sharp riffs. This is a great song for opening or ending a gig . The 7 strings guitar sounds like Tom Englund (Evergrey), while the keyboards sounds like Rikard Zander (Evergrey).

The fifth track, The Fifth Season, is the band's best song in my opinion. A cool symphonic opening, which ends when the funky bass enters. You should pay attention to the combination between the delicate voice of Dina and the gruff vocals of Shvets. There are many instrumental passages and different musical styles, and even a folk passage which reminds Ayreon a bit. The songs ends surprisingly with a flute. Another highlight in the album is Hand Coloured, a strong ballad which emphasize the good combination between the singers.

The album shows the maturity of the band in the arrangements and in its compositions. For a debut, this is a fantastic effort and I'm hopeful that the band will find a big producer that will help it to go forward, they deserve it.
