Album Notes
Emerging from the Seacoast of New Hampshire with a sound that is as original as the band members themselves. Todo Bien’s blend of roots, rock, and reggae glide through solid grooves with an uplifting vibe of feel good lyrics.

Rooted at the beach in Hampton, Todo Bien started in 2006 with front man Skip Brunette, percussionist John Reynolds and guitarist Chris Asbell jamming on a regular basis finding inspiration in Skip’s basement. In February 2007, the trio completed the RPM Challenge that sets the bar of writing and recording 10 songs in the month of February. The three completed the challenge two consecutive years giving them a catalog of 20 original songs to base their sound upon. The trio began performing these tunes regularly in the Seacoast area. In the winter of 2009, the group spread its wings and began creating a more groove based sound by adding three new members, Peter Irelan on drums, Melissa Patnaude on back up vocals and John Coretto on upright bass. Since the group doubled that cold winter, the group spent a lot of time in the basement. The group completed Todo Bien’s sound with a solid set of original music. Todo Bien was further motivated to take it to the next level and began building a loyal fan base throughout the Seacoast area by performing extensively at venues throughout the area and beyond including NY, NJ, VT, Maine, Mass and NH.

Following the summer and fall of 2009’s extensive gigging, the band returned to the basement in Hampton to begin preproduction of their first record. Under the direction of John Coretto who came not only with mean bass licks, but a resume filled with sound and recording experience, the group narrowed down the tunes to what they felt would make a powerful statement. At that time, the band brought in producer/musician Qwill to guide them through the preproduction and recording process.

In late January, the group entered Wellspring Sound Studios in Acton, Mass where they emerged three days later with 13 solid grooves. The journey continued throughout the spring and Todo Bien’s first full length self-titled record will be released at the end of July.

Recently the band has been setting many dates throughout the summer and fall to support the record and the positive message that every one of the tunes embody.

Todo Bien can sum it up by saying, “We stand behind what our band name represents. We want to send a positive vibe through our music and create a performance that makes our audience smile and move. Who doesn’t like to do that?!”
