ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The fourth installment in The Utility Project series sees Doyle Dean (guitar, bass, drums, vocals) joining forces with collaborators such as Ralph Lictensteiger (acoustic bass tampering), Shelly Tramposh (viola), Brian Lotze (trumpet, flugelhorn) and Nick Reilingh (trombone). Formerly of Goober and the Peas, Hippodrome and The Mariettas Doyle Dean set out in 2003 to change the face of pop music by using random and coded methods to write oddly shaped pop tunes. Instead only Doyle's face has changed. Pop music seems to be the same. But with every egg and tomato splat Doyle turns his cheek and offers you, the listener, a different take on the possibilities of listenable alternative rock music. As with every Utility Project release 1000 Cds will be left in public or passed on from person to person. The discs go out into the world the same way they came into it. Randomly.
