Album Notes
After working together for years playing mostly jazz standards, Vicky got the project going by writing lyrics to the 3 songs by David in this collection. Those songs had been previously recorded instrumentally on CDs by David and fellow guitarist Mike Doolin but the arrangements and most everything else are different here than on those previous recordings. The three Vicky originals have never been recorded before. The one non-original is Vicky's unique arrangement of the classic rock song, "Spooky". Drummer Dave Schmalenberger (a fellow graduate of Capital Univ. like David) is on all of the tracks and acoustic bassist Jim Chenoweth plays on three tracks. David plays electric bass on the rest. Throw in a little guitar synthesizer here and there and you have what we hope is a modern sounding, original, vocal jazz project with good friends from Minnesota. All of Vicky and David's previous individual recordings are also available on CD Baby. Vicky can be found at and David can be found at
